Company Profile:
We
felt the need for a Social Club in our area. There is simply no local
“gathering” place in the area. Those whom we have met express
longing for a local place that “they just know one of there friends
will be there”.
The idea of having a neighborhood pub that is “the place were
friends meet”, sponsors activities and offers other entertainment
options for members was too hard to pass up. So we began asking people
in the area questions. . . . Our
research shows: One
of the biggest complaints that we have received from our study group
was the lack of opportunity to be entertained after midnight on
Saturday or at all on Sunday’s. This dissatisfaction magnifies
during the Football season, but is experienced throughout the year. There
has also been strong support for an establishment that would be a
“Sport’s Bar”, offer good food at a fair price and have various
patron participation opportunities. We decided to comply with all
these request AND add the National Trivia Network [NTN] game, Golden
Tee Golf and tabletop video. Reason
we are a Private Club: The
only way to provide our patrons with beverages on Sunday is to open as
a private club. Potential for legislation has been discussed and may
well be introduced and approved in the future, but for now, this is
the only way for Stir Crazy to answer the needs of our patrons. Obligations
of Stir Crazy to achieve Private Club Status: The
City Club of Tega Cay, LLC was created as a bona fide non-profit
corporation under South Carolina Law. It is doing business as “Stir
Crazy” to align the
business name more closely with the fun Social agenda for which the
business was formed. There are many regulations that govern such an
effort and the strict punitive nature of the State for breach of these
regulations is a significant deterrent to skirting the law. [Not
to mention, fines, jail time or revocation of our license is not an
option we will explore!] So,
we have to put in place many processes and procedures to maintain
compliance with these regulations. Many of these have to do with
record keeping, membership election, bylaws, etc. To effectively
operate a club that will meet the objective listed above, a
significant infrastructure needed to be designed developed and
implemented. We
realize that there are not many
Private
Clubs in the area. [it is probably because of the
requirements!] But to provide the access that most of our area wants
we have decided to take the extra step to bring our members what they
deserve! You want a place that you feel at home, have fun, eat
well, meet friends, play games and watch games, 7 days a week!
Stir
Crazy
will
work to give you all of that and more! Now you don’t have to drive
to North Carolina to watch a football game, the final round of a golf
tournament, Nascar or any other key sporting event. You get to watch
them in the comfort of your own Private club. Welcome to
